HARDY is one of Nashville’s go-to hit songwriters, penning songs for country music icons like Florida Georgia Line and Morgan Wallen. On his 2023 album Mockingbird & The Crow (half country/half rock), he showcases his talent across both genres with hits like “One Beer” and ‘Wait In The Truck’ featuring Lainey Wilson.
Hardy’s atmospheric paintings draw upon both nature and city scenes for inspiration, working closely with museums and universities to bring art out into public schools and enrichment programs. She has also organized exhibitions at both galleries and nonprofit spaces while regularly lecturing about her work.
Since joining Nashville’s writing scene in 2018, HARDY has quickly established himself on its writing scene, scoring country No.1 hits for FGL, Shelton, Morgan Wallen and Dierks Bentley as well as creating two critically acclaimed double albums: 2023’s critically acclaimed A Rock and its follow up, Mississippi-bred The Mockingbird & The Crow.
Hardy works primarily in water colors, gouache and acrylics but has expanded her scope into photography and digital artwork on her Mac computer. Her art explores the complex relationship between order and chaos and often begins with color as inspiration for her works that have been published internationally – her astronomical, science fiction, fantasy pieces are in private collections worldwide.

From his country-meets-rap Hixtape Vol 1 to Morgan Wallen and Devin Dawson’s duet ‘One Beer’ on Morgan Wallen’s Hixtape Vol 3, to portraying gay hoodlum Handsome Bob in Nicolas Winding Refn’s 2008 film Bronson and finally to garnering awards and nominations along with millions of streams, several RIAA certifications, and an ever-growing fan base, Hardy has shown his versatility across genres to earn awards and nominations and his versatility has earned him numerous nominations along with awards and nominations as well as fan support from fans across multiple generations.
David has amassed an impressive list of television credits, directing episodes from ER and Criminal Minds among them.
Hardy has long been one of Nashville’s most well-known figures, yet has never competed on any singing competition show. Instead, he earned his songwriting degree at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). Hardy and wife Caleigh Ryan live on a farm outside Nashville with sons Wyatt and Carson as well as their newborn daughter on the way. At 5 feet 8 inches in height (which puts him below average in most categories) but far above in every other way!

Arriving in Dorchester and exploring its environs as they inspired Hardy’s novels is an unforgettable experience, from visiting his cottage at Higher Bockhampton (also owned by the National Trust) to strolling through wooded paths that lead to Max Gate, his final home which remains unchanged as when he lived there; today this museum dedicated to his life and work is open for viewing.
Bandit Lites’ Lighting Designer Trevor Drawdy used the grandMA3 Full console to layer lighting visuals that enhanced HARDY’s sound and performance, using Chauvet Strike 4 Arrays, COLORado PXL Bar 16 fixtures, and COLORado XR 3600 fixtures from Colorado – saving time and resources all around! Rehearsals took place at Venue One prior to each show for rehearsal purposes – saving both time and resources for all involved.
