Brett Goldstein won back-to-back Emmys for his portrayal of Roy Kent on Apple TV’s Ted Lasso, earning two Emmy awards as part of this role. Now, after making the transition to standup comedy in America with “The Second Best Night of Your Life Tour”, he will perform in Connecticut at Toyota Oakdale Theater on March 30.
Goldstein has been performing comedy for more than a decade, appearing 11 times at Edinburgh Fringe and appearing as an actor in one 2015 movie and having recurring roles on British series such as Derek and Drifters.

Goldstein, who hails from London, England, initially embarked on his career as an actor. He enrolled in film courses at college and studied acting with the American Academy of Dramatic Arts; however, soon realized his true calling lay in comedy rather than acting and made the switch to stand-up instead of studying further acting techniques. Since then he has appeared in multiple TV shows and movies.
Goldstein uses his comedy act to poke fun at male ego and its associated behaviors, without crossing into offensive territory; his jokes are genuine and relatable to audiences.
He also hosts the podcast Films to Be Buried With, where he interviews actors about their favorite films. His passions lie with film noir, comedy process chat and Star Wars discussions – guests on his show have included Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sam Morrison and Jason Sudeikis among many others.
Goldstein is an accomplished comedian and actor.
