DC and Hooks, two legendary bass music producers, have expanded into house and techno with Altered States imprint, creating an eclectic musical journey for themselves and their listeners alike. To commemorate this voyage of discovery they curated a playlist which reflected their style as well as current inspiration.
Zeds Dead have made quite the impact since first emerging on the dance music scene at an intimate Toronto club back in 2009. Since then, their stage presence and Deadbeats label have grown immensely; playing festival stages around the globe as well as headlining sets at numerous locations worldwide.
Zeds Dead have built an expansive discography spanning dubstep, trap, and progressive house genres and developed their own brand of electronic music that has earned them worldwide attention and critical acclaim. Their debut album Northern Lights earned them both critical praise as well as multiple chart-topping singles on Billboard charts; remixes for Billie Eilish, Illenium and Ellie Goulding have garnered significant radio play.
The duo has maintained an extensive touring schedule, performing more than 100 dates annually and headlining at top festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Ultra Music Festival and EDC Las Vegas. Furthermore, they are an integral part of Bassmentality tour, which showcases early career artists that have gone on to mainstream success including Skrillex, Borgore Camo & Krooked among many more.
Zeds Dead recently unveiled the 2024 Two Night Stand tour, taking them to smaller, more intimate venues than their large-scale headlining shows often filled with sold out tickets. Fans will have an opportunity to connect more closely with the band during this intimate experience.
On May 25, the inaugural show of this tour kicked off at The Factory in St. Louis and was an overwhelming success, packing out this massive venue with support from Rusko and HEYZ.
Branchez is an emerging New York producer who made waves this year with his slick yet catchy remix of Rhye’s “Open.” It quickly went viral and is now part of Zeds Dead’s official playlist.
Denver‘s bass scene has become increasingly crowded over time, making it hard for any individual or DJ to stand out amongst a sea of forward-thinking producers and DJs.
