Their YouTube channel has amassed over half a billion views; additional scenes were shot at Iguazu Falls and in an ice cave; their aim is to shoot music videos at each of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
The Piano Guys are a quartet of hilarious dads who have taken YouTube by storm with their unique blend of popular songs and classical music performed live in breathtaking videos in unique settings. Paul Anderson of Utah Piano Store provided them with their initial inspiration by filming Schmidt playing piano in his shop and uploading those videos onto YouTube. Soon thereafter they added Nelson on cello and Al Van der Beek as directors for these videos.
As a group, they have traveled around the globe filming music videos and are now ready to hit the stage. Their goal is to perform at all seven wonders of the world including beaches, speeding trains and even China’s Great Wall!
Success comes at a price, however. Producing their videos can be costly, forcing them to choose between business and music production. But they found a solution by prioritizing list building.

Paul Anderson began The Piano Guys after looking for new ways to promote his piano store business. After reaching out to pianist Jon Schmidt and cellist Steven Sharp Nelson – both musicians agreed to record performances for YouTube – Anderson and Nelson collaborated with video producer Al Van der Beek to form The Piano Guys.
