Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn (both former members of Hiss Golden Messenger) use electronic music as a springboard to expand folk. Scott Avett discussed their journey as artists during his feature on their band. While they initially experimented with full-band recordings under the NEMO name, once The Avett Brothers adopted stand-up bassist Bob Crawford in 2002 the focus shifted more towards stripped-down music that is genuine in tone and emphasis.
He discussed their upcoming album, The Third Gleam, which marks their first studio recording since 2006’s The Gleam EPs began and continued through 2008 with The Second Gleam EP. These records feature just Scott and Seth playing together without editing – providing intimate moments between listeners that resonate deeply.

Little Feat was established in 1969 by legendary slide guitarist Lowell George and was disbanded following his death in 1979; however, shortly thereafter they were revived with new members including bassist Bill Payne and guitarist Scott Sharrard.
