Seven Lions is an American producer with an exceptional ability to combine trance, dubstep and progressive house sub-genres into extraordinary compositions. Born Jeff Montalvo and raised in punk and metal bands during his teenage years before attending his first rave in 2007 and finding EDM composition as his medium of expression. By 2012 he released his debut EP Polarize which went on to achieve multiple Beatport #1 charts for dubstep tracks.

Montalvo launched his career after winning a Beatport remix contest with his dubstep-influenced cover of Above & Beyond’s You Gotta Go. Subsequent tours with Porter Robinson and Krewella helped Montalvo hone and refine his genre-defying sound.

From entering an unassuming remix contest with his dubstep-infused rendition of Above & Beyond’s “You Got To Go”, to curating Chronicles event and opening Ophelia Records as an outlet for melodic bass music, Montalvo has left no stone unturned in his quest to push genre-defying music forward.
Opposite The Other returns to Above & Beyond’s music as they collaborate on “See The End”, an upbeat anthem which serves as the centerpiece for their 2019 Anjunafamily celebrations and their Group Therapy Weekender at The Gorge. A highlight from their album, this track serves as a constant reminder of their shared passion for joyful sounds as well as their strong friendship and familial ties.
Fiora Cutler is an exceptional classically trained violinist and singer, adding her beautiful voice to this song with ease, further underscoring Seven Lions’ magical musical alchemy. “Easy Lover” marks yet another high point of this project as it proves their undeniable musical talent.

Brand Experience & Activation category saw 271 entries submitted and eight Lions awarded by the Jury: one Gold, two Silver and four Bronze Lions. Grand Prize went to Phillips by LePub Amsterdam’s initiative against electronic waste disposal known as ‘Refurb’ by Phillips – specifically an effort that reduces electronic waste through refurbishing.
Design Lions, which recognize visual artistry, attracted 927 entries this year and 31 Lions were presented by the Jury: five Gold, 12 Silver and 14 Bronze. Circus Grey Lima awarded their Grand Prix to “Sightwalks for Sol Cement by updating the tactile paving system which assists visually impaired people navigate cities.”
