Rhett Whatley of Philos Records in Atlanta proudly reps Atlanta with his musical vision for Daily Bread, continually offering soulful sounds a cutting-edge. His love for trying out new instruments and intense crate digging help drive this funky pastiche to new heights, merging reminiscing soulful melodies, gritty hip-hop lyrics, and bass-driven panache into one seamless sound.
Whatley first started producing beats in 2014 using an MPC sampler, massive record collection, and jazz guitar skills to craft unique electro-soul and hip hop tracks that demanded to be heard. His beat head sensibilities assisted in crafting unforgettable electro-soul and hip hop tracks that needed to be heard.
Rhett is currently touring across America after performing at the Ford Amphitheater in Vail and co-releasing Divided Souls with fellow labelmate Derlee, levelling audiences from coast to coast. Their energetic performances have fans booking flights just to be part of it!
