Meghan Trainor was born December 22nd 1993 on Nantucket, Massachusetts and attended Nauset Regional High School where she played trumpet for Island Fusion Band.

Trainor was introduced to Carla Wallace at Nashville’s Big Yellow Dog Music and eventually signed a publishing deal and started writing songs for other artists.

Meghan Trainor was raised in Nantucket, Massachusetts and began writing songs at age 11. Her parents encouraged her musical aspirations and took her to songwriting conventions throughout her teens years.

Meghan Trainor was raised on Nantucket and graduated from Nauset Regional High School in 2012. Since age 11, Meghan has been writing her own versions of songs like “Heart and Soul.” Additionally, Meghan is trained dancer.

Kelli and Gary Trainor, jewelry store owners, raised two sons: Ryan (older brother), and Justin (younger brother). Kelli currently resides with both brothers in Los Angeles.

Meghan Trainor made her musical debut with her smash hit single “All About That Bass”, becoming an irresistibly catchy pop anthem that quickly rose to become one of the top 10 charts.

She collaborated on this song with producer Kevin Kadish, who saw her performing in Nashville and brought her to Epic Records.

The EP Title showcases her musical range, with tracks combining girl group pop and old-school hip hop. Her vocals have been likened to that of Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.

Trainor’s debut extended play Title was written and produced with Kadish on January 9, 2015. The lead single, All About That Bass, spent eight weeks at #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart before garnering multi-platinum sales across Europe.

The lyrics on her latest album often address themes related to womanhood, body image and empowerment. She has collaborated with FullBeauty Brands plus-size retailer as well as various social causes and supports them both financially.

Meghan Trainor followed up her megahit “All About That Bass” with this bubblegum pop and doo-wop single, reaching number one in Australia, New Zealand and Canada before becoming a top 20 hit in America.

Trainor met producer Kevin Kadish during one of her writing trips to Nashville and they collaborated to compose this track together – another testament to Trainor’s affinity for retro style music.

Released her third single “Dear Future Husband” on March 3, 2015

Trainor made her mark with 2014’s All About That Bass, an infectious doo-wop song which quickly went viral online and topped the UK Singles Chart on streams alone. Its success led her major label debut album Title, released later that same year.

Dear Future Husband is a pop and doo-wop song featuring themes of courtship and marriage, featuring Trainor’s list of demands to her prospective husband.
