After the phenomenal success of their self-released debut full-length, Ofnir, Heilung – Danish collective that marries music with ancient pagan rituals – found themselves with an ever-increasing following. Following remarkable live appearances and overwhelming demand, Season of Mist decided to finally make their genuine marvel available worldwide.
Ofnir Silver-Tooth was a dawi who lost his foot during a mining accident. Back then, there wasn’t the technology or knowledge available to repair broken limbs; therefore, Ofnir used his wealth to craft new prostheses for those who had also suffered losses; becoming known as the All-Knowing.
Gideon Ofnir can be found in Roundtable Hold once players have defeated Godrick the Grafted at Stormveil Castle and Rennala Loux at Raya Lucaria Academy, both Shardbearers. Doing so unlocks Roundtable Hold and provides Gideon Ofnir with access to your party.
He can provide insight into other Shardbearers that you must defeat to complete the story.
As with many magi, Ofnir can cast spells that stun players. To avoid this, keep him at a distance while attacking as often as possible – especially when he initiates his attacks with speech; make sure you hit hard when his attacks begin with spoken dialogue! He can also summon a wraith that deals heavy damage to anyone within its range.
Drif is the latest album by Danish band HEILUNG that will not disappoint their many devoted fans. Their ability to tell historical events through song is well demonstrated on this record that will leave listeners intrigued and mesmerised.
Drif is set to explore all of the great ancient civilizations – an impressive showcase for their diversity and depth.
Season of Mist has released a limited edition double LP of Drif on black vinyl with full digital download included, inspired by historical rock carvings in Scandinavia that depicts the Warrior Snail as an emblematic image for Heilung. You can purchase this album now at their E-shop; alternatively it may also be part of a bundle offering Ofnir, Futha and LIFA albums as well.
After their debut album Ofnir was released, Heilung are back with Futha, their third album and an antidote to its harsh nature. Futha shows an altogether more melodic and beautiful side of Heilung’s music; their primeval musique concrete blends ancient Germanic tongues with lush geophonic recordings (crackling fires, breaking ice) as well as percussive thunder from archaic weaponry to create a reverent ceremonial experience.
Futha draws its lyrics from old Icelandic poetry where holy women would chant magical spells to cast magic spells, explaining its greater focus on female voices compared to Ofnir.
Futha’s production of their live shows and recordings is meticulous, ensuring each song can be experienced as an ensemble piece; easily getting lost in their tapestry of sounds with vocalists providing strength.
